Upcoming Format Release for Statements and Daily Notices Update From CBSA 2018-12-10

Dear Valued Customer,

As of the following dates, a new format will take effect for statements and daily notices:
  • Statements of Account – Friday, January 25
  • Daily Notices – Saturday, January 26
To ensure your system has been coded correctly to receive the new DN and SOA formats, the CBSA is offering a test environment. The test files will contain your data from the April 2018 accounting period.

Test copies of your April 25, 2018 DN and SOA will be sent to your test connection that was set up when ARL was implemented in January 2016. If you think your test profile has since changed, include your new information for verification against CBSA records (PKI Certificate, Network Type, Identifiers, Receiver IDs, Record Terminators or any other values that have changed).

As statements are now available for carrier and warehouse accounts with a valid BN9, CBSA would also like to send test files for those accounts. If you have applied to receive carrier or warehouse notices, or have clients that have applied for these notices, provide the BN9 for those accounts.

To receive a test file of the new statement format:
  • Send an email to the ARL Client Testing mailbox
  • The Subject Line should read ‘SOA/DN Testing/Company Name’
  • Include the name and BN15/BN9 of the test files you would like to receive
  • Provide updates to your profile, if applicable
  • Provide the BN9(s) of your carrier or warehouse account(s), if applicable
If you would like the CBSA to confirm that your statements are displaying the data and format properly, send an email to the ARL Client Testing mailbox with a few sample statements.

Client service/contact information: For questions about the contents of ARL or technical issues related to receiving electronic DNs and SOAs, contact the CBSA’s ARL Support team.
